A downloadable game for Windows

A class project meant to be a digital narrative but I happened to be better at making it in Unity rather than any of the recommended options.

About the game:

“Procrastination” is about how bad time management caused by distractions (namely electronic related) can get in the way of what should be done. I used the process of making a game as a basis to explain this where the levels themselves are snippets from my development of this game and the enemies are representing distractions. The “Health” the player has is representative of time for development needed to complete the game. There are four different endings here achieved by either losing in every level or by winning. I hope you enjoy!

What I wanted to do here was highlight the consequences that procrastination has on work while staying in what I know (the process of making games.) The different endings are a reflection of how much work was done along with the expressions the mouse pointer character has in each of the endings. The act of procrastination often results in one to “deliberately look for distractions” (Psychology Today) as a means to escape (temporarily) what task/work has to be done hence why I used phones and game controllers as the enemies since they are common distractions in the real world. The game itself is supposed to highlight one type of solution to procrastination where if no work is done one fails and the more time is dedicated to a cause the better off it becomes.
